Playing softball in The Netherlands

You might wonder. Are they playing fastpitch softball in The Netherlands? The answer is YES. Did you know that our national team is number 8 worldwide and year after year European Champion? 

SV Wassenaar is playing with two teams in the Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation's league, which starts yearly in April and ends in October. A league contains usually approx. 15 -18 games, playing each week except for the Summer Hollidays against teams mostly in our region.

The leagues are divided in U6, U8(beeball), U12, U16, U18 and 18+. Ad SV Wassenaar we have a U18 and 18+ team. U18 playing in the first league for this age and 18+ playing in 2nd division (i.e. not the higher level, but certainly also not a beginners level).
